Most mods have a "Performance-friendly" alternative that does basically the same shtick.Check out the Comprehensive Guide to ElvUI! Low CPU being relative here, Bartender isn't a huge performance hit but Dominos runs lighter and does the same thing. It took way more effort than it probably needed but it did work.įor a good example of the above, Dominos is a great low CPU alternative to Bartender. I had a real shit computer during Warlords of Draenor and what I ended up doing was finding every low CPU version of the mods that collectively go in to making ElvUI work and building my UI from that. It's annoying to learn but 100% guarantee you could get the UI looking exactly how you wanted with ElvUI, and probably moreso than just with Bartender. Nothing wrong with preferring your UI one way or another, but the Weak Auras and ElvUI aren't a style, they're just a tool to find your style. It also compiles all these options into once place. ElvUI has a look to it but I think a lot of people don't realize you can completely customize that as well - and ElvUI's strength is that it automatically handles a lot of the more finnicky options or widgets that aren't handled by other mods. It's completely up to your pleasure.ĮlvUI helps with this.
Once you get it set up you can make things look almost entirely however you want. HOWEVER, again, it's a question of customization. It may seem small to some people but aside from my character the UI is literally the only other thing I'm staring at all day playing WoW so I need it to be easy on the eyes. Floating UI pieces and clashing layout schemes really bug me.
It's a huge pain in the ass for me because I also hate having random icons all over the place.
